5th Grade Health day

Let’s get moving!  Moulton I.S.D. 5th graders did just that on October 2nd, on their first field trip of the year.  The group, along with their teachers, Jackie Mitchon and Tia Meisetschleager, attended the Halletsville Kid’s Health Fair where they learned about healthy foods, proper proportions, and good old fashion exercise!  Students rotated through creative stations designed to teach what foods to eat to stay healthy, which meats and the daily proportions to consume, and what rainbow of colorful foods they need to eat to keep fit.  Some of the exterior stations included Zumbo, an obstacle course, and stretching exercises.  The provided lunch was a delicious hamburger pizza, oranges, carrots, and milk.  One of the students interviewed said her favorite part of the whole day happened at the very end of the day when they had a Dance Party!  It doesn’t get any better than that!
