Norma's House

On November 8th, Norma's House sent representatives to talk to pre-kindergarten through fourth grade students concerning safety.  Emily Cook, Barbara Stevenson, and Laisha Rangel talked to the students about strangers, street safety, safe zones and the three safety rules.  Kids were taught to say no, run to a trusted location, and to tell a trusted adult.  Emphasis was placed on the fact that unsafe experiences are not their fault.
The second and third graders watched a video called "Bentley's Big Production, "Play it Safe!" The program also included dangerous scenarios that students could face and how to properly get help.
Thank you, Norma's House, for your part in educating our students on how to be safe and to Mrs. Rother for arranging the visit.
